[ Haru gives him a look that all but screams he's her lord and savior right now. It's such a thick book. That's guaranteed to at least keep her distracted for hours, and she couldn't be more grateful for it. ]
[He's glad she likes it. He's excited that he might turn someone else into a LotR nerd. He's happy to see her excited for something, to stave off the boredom.]
Who'd have thought this place would still have books and stuff from home? Wonder what Tolkien'd think of his writing making it all the way down to hell...

But anyway! I learned that in the future, or at least my future, Hollywood made those books into movies. Like, I even asked about it -- they're apparently really good ones, too.
I think I do remember hearing about the movies, but of course I'd never read the books... of course, we absolutely must watch them! Do you think it would be wise to watch them as I finish the books, or perhaps marathon them all at once? I wonder how lengthy they are, of course...

Apparently they're long. Which is great because that means we can stay up all night marathoning them.

But you definitely gotta read the books first. Then you can really compare and contrast, and there's no way I'm letting you get spoiled on story through the movies.
All right... I'll do my best to make it through the rest of the books in a prompt fashion. I think a movie night sounds like a wonderful idea! I've never been able to do one.
