[She awakens not at the sound of the buzzer, but the sound of Light Yagami's voice.

Along with Kokuto and every so often, Akitaka, Light was in the rotation of individuals who would visit the solitary young woman in her one-room apartment. Blinking slowly, Shiki sleepily swings her legs over the edge of the bed, calling out to him. ]

Touko, in a moment of her more wisecracking moods, had remarked that Shiki Ryougi and Light Yagami were a strange pair of magnets. They were neither drawn to each other enough to be stuck at each other's side nor is there a natural repulsion as one may expect. Kokuto, genial simpleton that he was, seemed to think differently and even highly of the pair; "It's nice that you have a friend like Yagami-kun."

She opens the door for him, giving Light a once-over as if to make sure it's there's nothing amiss. Prim, proper, with smooth edges metaphorically and literally.

That part of him really disgusts her sometimes, but paradoxically, it's also why she found him tolerable.]
